According to the creation story of the Heliopolitan priests, the world originally consisted of the primordial waters of precreation personified as Nun.[1] From it arose a mound on the First Occasion.[1] Upon the mound sat the self-begotten god Atum, who was equated with the sun god Ra. Atum evolved from Nun through self-creation. Atum either spat or masturbated, producing air personified as Shu and moisture personified as Tefnut. The siblings Shu and Tefnut mated to produce the earth personified as Geb and the nighttime sky personified as Nut.
Geb and Nut were the parents of Osiris and Isis and of Set and Nephthys, who became respective couples in turn. Osiris and Isis represent fertility and order, while Set and Nephthys represent chaos to balance out Osiris and Isis. Horus, the son of Osiris and Isis, is often included in this creation tradition. Due to the duality of Ancient Egyptian myths, this is only one of many creation stories. The Egyptians believed no specific myth was more correct than the other, rather that some combination of these myths was correct. This creation story, the Heliopolitan tradition, is one of physiological creation. The other major creation traditions are the Memphite Tradition and Hermopolitian/Ogdoad.

The Akh is a tricky concept perhaps best understood as the effective spirit of the deceased. When a person died, their Ka left their body. The Opening of the Mouth ritual allowed the Ba to leave the body. The akh was the result of the successful union of the Ba and Ka which occurred if the person’s heart passed the test in the Hall of Judgment. Thus the primary purpose of the funerary texts and rituals was to help the deceased become an akh.
Although the akh was not itself divine, it shared some characteristics with the gods and was immortal. During the Old Kingdom, only kings and gods are identified with the akh, but as time progressed all people could hope to be transfigured as one of the blessed dead. Living people could pray to the akh of their ancestors for help, but the akhu could also inflict punishments on the living if not appeased.
The akh also relates to the effectiveness of a person when they undertook any act considered glorious or righteous. For example, a king building a temple for a god or a man feeding and clothing the poor could both be considered akhut (that which is akh).

Be sure to mark your calendar for FEBRUARY 23, 2019 for a night of Live SPIRITUAL Music. A Night of LIVE Music that is Created to Raise Awareness, Raise Vibrations, Promote Wellness, and Lead Us All to Enlightenment. Original Organic Music.
The Evening begins with Ancient African Adorations, Devotional World Music from Kemet. Based on Scriptures and Teachings from the Pert M Heru (Book of Coming Forth By Day also known as Egyptian Book of the Dead) and the Temple of Aset. Arit uses mostly tradtitional or hand held instruments, along with chanting and singing. A few songs will be performed with her Band.
Set 2 will feature Cosmic Jazz Improv with SuRa and the Side Pocket Experience.
Celebrated artist and master drummer Sura Dupart leads an eclectic free ensemble focusing on healing and deepening our relationship with the Creator.
Sura (pronounced Soo-Rah) Dupart is one of Chicago’s most accomplished sculptors and has been performing musica for over 50 years. Dupart joined the AACM in mid 1960s and deepened his practice with Atu Harold Murray’s Sun Drummer. Since then, Dupart has studied drumming practices and traditions from Africa, the Diaspora, and the south side of Chicago. He currently performs with his SidePocket Experience as well as the Participatory Music Coalition. Joining him are the legendary Soji Adebayo on keys; the unstoppable Santez on t. sax and saxello; trumpeter Curtis Black; Dr. Adam Zanolini on double bass, flute, and s. sax; Tchiya Amet vocalist; and dancer Althea Teamer.

Musical harmonies were based on proportion, and the design of Ancient Egyptian architecture was also based on proportion. Egyptians considered music as a type of geometry translated into sound, and that architectural proportion underlies all harmonies
Egyptians believed in the concept of the ‘infinity of sound’, and divided up the infinity of sound into three distinct categories. Musicians are aware of two forms of sound: regular vibrations (pitch) and random vibrations (noise). Tehuti was the first to recognize a third element – of muting, being the absence of sound. Muting is a common skill employed by professional musicians to contain the sound
Egyptian Harps were used mostly in religious rituals and ceremonies. Musical notes in ancient Egypt were regarded as spiritual elements, and were conceived as independent structural entities. The Egyptian ten string harp was played by priests and it was regarded as a sacred instrument.
Egyptians believed that letters and words were phonetic elements with each individual letter as a picture of its own sound.They believed that individual letters consisted of unique vibrational patterns

- Pythagoras believed that everything in the universe was related to numbers and mathematics. He believed that all numbers had an important spiritual and holy significance and tht each one carried its own vibration. He saw music the same way that he viewed geometry and mathematics, as a holy, spiritual scientific endeavor, of which a perfect society could be created.
- He believed that music should be regarded as a holy science and should never be used for mere entertainment purposes. He recognized music as the unifying principle of Harmonia, which he regarded as a divine principle that brings order to chaos and discord, which is also a reconciliation of opposing principles. Harmonia was one of the main principles of design and creation used in Egyptian architecture.

What is the Abu Simbel Sun Festival?
The Abu Simbel Sun Festival is a bi-annual event that takes place at the spectacular temple of Ramses II in the south of Egypt. On two days of the year the central chamber of the temple is illuminated by the sun. For a short period of time as the sun perfectly aligns with the usually shrouded interior, light is cast on the seated statues of Ramses II (pharaoh), Ra (sun god) and Amun (king of the gods). Only the statue of Ptah, the god of darkness, remains in the shadows. This event has been taking place for over 3,200 years.

Where does the Pink Moon get its name?
So if the moon won’t actually look pink, why do we call it the Pink Moon?
The April moon gets its somewhat confusing name from the plant that it brings the bloom of, the herb moss pink or phlox. The plant is said to bloom with some of the first flowers of the spring, and is mostly found in North America.

Not Aries. Seems like we have been in this emotional state for many moons, but it has only been like two moons. where! where do I start? Get deeper into your emotions, your true feelings, and allow this to be expressed thru your creativity. If it is sad, then don’t just cry, write about it. Write a poem, sing a song, make some pottery. Never waste your creative energy. If you are feeling angry, write about it, don’t just call your best friend and complain. Take Action! With Heru (Uranus) here as well, it is important to make sure that whatever action we take, it is an expression of the Divine, NOT the Ego! This is the time to conquer the Ego. This is the time to join the fight against the oppression that we all experience daily. This would be an excellent time to write that letter to the representative or that nasty corporation, or to your neighbor, the one you have been angry with for a few years! We are here to express our Divinity. The beautiful thing (HetHeru/Venus) about this is that when we do, we bring about healing for ourselves and others. (Chiron!) If your first instinct is to say something, then your ego comes in and tells you to be quiet, perhaps there is a more loving way to say it, BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOU EXPRESS YOUR SELF. Invoke the Heru in you and be courageous, eliminate fear, and move ahead. Do not just sit there and complain. Take Maat Action Today. Remember the Beauty Path: there is beauty in everything. Remember Maat: Maat is not Justice alone, She is also the lack of Justice. Maat is the BALANCE between the two. There is prosperity and adversity, good and bad in every moment, in everything! It is wise to be able to recognize BOTH! This is the Beauty Path of HetHeru. And, the Scale of Maat. It takes real courage to be honest with our emotions. As for me, I am going to take the time to write a few songs about an issue that I have not really addressed in 30+ years as a reggae artist. stay tuned. I am going to conquer my fears and express my self and my feelings. By the Light of the Full Moon. I attended a conference over the weekend, and my consciousness must expand in order to absorb all that was learned.

Djehuty is about communication, intelligence, knowledge. Also, spells and magic! Set is the Ego. At HeruScopes, we focus on conquering the Ego, on not letting it get the best of us, etc. Tammet Amon or Sidereal Aries, is about leadership. Once Set has conquered his own battle of “good over evil” he became the leader of the ship of Ra. This is how it is with us as well, once we move beyond the fetters of Set: egoism, selfishness, doubts, fear, greed, hypocrisy, envy, etc, we become the true leader. We can take control of our lives. Djehuty, or the Intellect, reason, teachings, etc, is an excellent tool for conquering the ego. during this time, when the Portal of Djehuty is open (more on this next), we should take the opportunity to read, learn, ask questions, investigate and study as much as possible, the details and the subjects that will lead the way to our greatest expansion towards THE LIFE OF OUR DREAMS.
Take advantage of this moment to crystallize our intent, our vision, what we want to manifest. Not only wondering about how are we going to pay our bills this week, but take the time to increase meditation and include visualization. It is one thing to reach that pleasurable satisfying, peaceful state when your mind is as empty as the ocean of unindifferentiated consciousness of Amun. It is another thing to use that state to create the life you love to look at. Tammet Amon. Sidereal Aries. Use your mind to create, not just daydream, or be cluttered by egoistical thinking or even worse, mindless thinking!
Now what about these Portal Openings of HetHeru and Djehuty? At the SAME MOMENT?
Well, when the HetHeru Portal was open, many relationships were rocked, some ended, some were made even stronger. (This was my personal experience, how about you?) For the next few days, until Venus goes direct on April 15, be on the lookout for miscommunications that have way too much power. It will be important to express your authentic self now more than ever. However during this time, the lesson will be about learning how to do so with love, compassion and beauty. We only have a few days, so it could get intense. main thing, is not take any of this persona;.
We are all enrolled in the School of Life: some in pre-K, and some at the PhD Level. LIFE is the only teacher, we are all classmates! If you used to be the type of person that would be thinking one thing and saying another, cuz you didn’t want to make waves or cause conflict, you can imagine what YOUR lessons will be like! LOL!! And, if you are the type of person that just blurts out truths, oh yea, this will be fun. I used to be afraid to say anything, but then explode later on. Or, I would say EXACTLY how I felt, which was usually accompanied by much anger and frustration. This got me nowhere fast! I wonder what this journey will bring????
The main thing to recall is that when these portals are open, do not run and hide from the experience. Just be aware of what is going on, and remain unattached, do not take things personally. The goal is to learn how to remain seated on inner throne of Aset, at all times, especially during times of adversity. Remember the beauty path, and wait to see the Gift that the adversity will bring. Remember to plant seeds of good intentions for your upcoming expansion, and make sure that some of them are PINK to remind you always of this very special moment of opening and growth in your life. Sunday June 25, 2017 at 1 pm at the Dojo 2304 S. Blue Island Ave in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. This is one aspect of an all day celebration of the Children of the Sun Summer Solstice Gathering, during the longest days of the year.
Although most of the songs are simple chants, many of the songs have a reggae feel or riddim. So, this music has even been called Ancient Egyptian Fusion Reggae!
Then, July 22 at REGGAE WELLNESS in Port Antonio, JA
The first event took place on March 19, 2017 in Miami, FL Spring Equinox and Month of the Goddesses. Special DUA to Sophia’s Maat garden for hosting this event. This is the first in an unending series of concerts and workshops. Looking forward to visiting your community in the near future.
In the future. the Concert will take place on a Friday Evening. This will feature a Ritual that takes you on a Spiritual Journey. The Next Day will feature the Workshop, with two aspects: First, learning the songs and chants, the translations , the meanings, the myths, the teachings, etc. of the Neteru, the Gods and Goddesses, the Ancestors the Cosmic Forces that live within all of us.
Secondly, there will be a KemeTones: Cosmic Sound Healing Workshop, where we will explore different ways to get closer to the Neters, and how to apply this knowledge to healing, healing of Self and healing others.
The Third Day will provide an opportunity to experience KemeTones in a one-on-one session. If so desired, you can also receive a HeruScopes Kemetic Sidereal Astrology Reading to enhance your sound healing session. You can also schedule an Energy FLOW Analysis.
