Hurricane Reggae Band set to Replace DubDis performing with Tchiya Amet & Lenni I at the DoJo June 25

Tchiya will be performing her traditional “Reggae Jazz Fusion” show, but will also be performing a second show: a rare performance of her “Ancient Egyptian Fusion Reggae” music at DoJo. The shows will also feature Jamaica’s own Lenni I and De HurricaneReggae Band from Chicago replacing Dub Dis; and limited tickets are still available for both shows. On July 1st, 2017 Tchiya Amet will be performing live along side Capleton & The Prophecy Band, Queen Ifrica, Lenni I, and the HurricaneReggae Band from Chicago replacing Dub Dis, at the International Festival Of Life, in Chicago, IL.
DibDis is not able to make these performances. However, Chicago’s own De HurricaneReggae Band is backing up Tchiya Amet and Lenni I. They have been playing together as a solid working reggae band for a lot longer than that other band.

Sunday June 25, 2017 at 1 pm at the Dojo 2304 S. Blue Island Ave in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. This is one aspect of an all day celebration of the Children of the Sun Summer Solstice Gathering, during the longest days of the year.
Although most of the songs are simple chants, many of the songs have a reggae feel or riddim. So, this music has even been called Ancient Egyptian Fusion Reggae!

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
The first event took place on March 19, 2017 in Miami, FL Spring Equinox and Month of the Goddesses. Special DUA to Sophia’s Maat garden for hosting this event. This is the first in an unending series of concerts and workshops. Looking forward to visiting your community in the near future.
In the future. the Concert will take place on a Friday Evening. This will feature a Ritual that takes you on a Spiritual Journey. The Next Day will feature the Workshop, with two aspects: First, learning the songs and chants, the translations , the meanings, the myths, the teachings, etc. of the Neteru, the Gods and Goddesses, the Ancestors the Cosmic Forces that live within all of us.
Secondly, there will be a KemeTones: Cosmic Sound Healing Workshop, where we will explore different ways to get closer to the Neters, and how to apply this knowledge to healing, healing of Self and healing others.

Reggae On The River 2014 Solo Performance by Tchiya Amet
It has taken me two years to release these videos. The performance was great, my first solo performance at a huge festival like this. The OFFICIAL Video was lost or destroyed by the cameraman. Ironically, these clips were taken by my boyfriend at the time, Gagan Hunter. I am grateful that he was able to record the performance with his cell phone. I took the pyramid up on stage, I offered libations to the Ancestors, honored the 4 Directions. I even took the Cosmic Chimes with me. This presentation was unlike anything seen before at Reggae on the River I am sure!
Unfortunately, while I was in my KemeTones Sound Healing booth, someone walked in and molested me. I shut down for a few years. You can read more about the details here..
The most important thing now is for me to release the negative emotions surrounding the event, and move forward. This incident has caused a block for me, and I must release so that my music can move forward and keep flowing and healing. I was really down on Reggae Festivals after this event.The hypocrisy, the alcohol, the men groping women, the women walking around half naked, the drugs, (not medicine!), the commercialism, the misappropriation of culture. I did get a sketch artist, but there was no further actions. Just me sitting around trying to figure out what to do next. Of course, I went into the Healer mode, and set out to find healing protocols for healing from violations, rape, abuse, slavery etc. All needed, but what about the MUSIC? I was going to start doing HOUSE CONCERTS, but after the assault, I decided against traveling alone across the country.
I recently joined forces with a Reggae Band, Kasha Rootz Band, in Jamaica and recently applied to perform with Sofar Sounds, which is similar to house concerts, but a lot better.
The Music is why I am releasing the Reggae on the River 2014 videos, after 2 years of it being un-shared and unlisted. Music Heals ALL! I have been told this was a remarkable performance. I don’t know, I blocked out the entire experience. I am willing to try it again, if Reggae on the River will give me another opportunity that is. This time. I will bring a band: KASHA ROOTZ BAND.

When I see this video, after getting over the shock of seeing women practically naked, with their garments painted on their bodies, I felt deeply saddened to see how we have been brainwashed to reject our melanin. So much self hatred, and the mindset (Mind of Set) is still in shackles from the slave owners. When the Mother makes the comment about no more Black People in her family, because all of the youth have married White people. We Can Heal Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome with Sound: KemeTones
So then, what IS this post about? This post is about SOLUTIONS, or one possible solution anyway.
KemeTones: Cosmic Sound Healing. This post is about a journey, my own self care and self healing. Your self care and healing, The Healing of our Family Members, our Families. Our Communities and The Healing of Our Nation. Yes, Our Black Nation specifically, because Our Black Nation IS THE HUMAN FAMILY. This post is about a response, not a definition.

The KemeTones Self Care Webinar Series was initiated on Sept. 7, 2015. In December, we began to focus on PTSS, based on the Study Guide by Dr. Joy. Here is the initial webinar and also the slide share from that presentations.
In March, we will start again with the Introduction, and go through all of the Sankofa Steps. We will also learn about and discuss the meridians, chakras, and other applicable techniques for this healing protocol. This is a work in progress, as I am taking myself through this journey. Beyonce, and of course her song “Formation”, are proof that we ALL need healing from PTSS. Not sure if this is activism or capitalism. But perhaps this has made it “cool” to discuss or at least express our feelings about these issues. I spoke with one Black Panther and one of the Last Poets. I also spoke to a Babaloue. They all thought her performance was great, and a good thing. They are proud of her and grateful to her , for taking a stand, and opening the way for the rest of us to step forward and speak out. I suppose compared to Brasil, Beyonce is fully clothed!!
This work is a work in progress, especially on myself, and in my own life. One reason it has taken me so long to launch my programs is because I am continually going through the healing process myself. I am grateful to be working on this project, and looking forward to challenges that are ahead with healing from PTSS. Right now, it appears that we as a Nation are divided: some folks want to forget the past and live the American Dream, while others want to expose all of lies, violations, betrayals, i.e, the toxins of the past, so that we can purify, heal, and become whole again. It is a process that will bring up many emotions, and will ask us to make changes in our lives that will benefit future generations.

UPDATE: My thoughts and feelings did fluctuate between the two energies. In the end, practicality and stability won out over my ability for infinite service and giving to the point of ruin or exhaustion. LOL!! Thank goodness. Was not easy however…and it still hurts a little bit.

The TRUE power comes from knowing when to use fire, and when to use love and wisdom. HetHeru also contains the power to restore vision. See the beauty is all things, see the gift in adversity. To see the difference between right and wrong.
Asar: The Transformation, The Resurrection. Wisdom can be regenerative. Truth can be reinvigorating. The Spirit must remain vigilant, and not get too comfortable, or else it can be imprisoned by the Ego. I think Asar PiMaere signifies that we can rely on Divine Intuition to help us keep it together when we have fallen asleep. Let the Divine Intelligence guide us, be our leader, not the Ego.
RePhan still holding it down in Imhotep: breaking all boundaries when it comes to natural health and healing: no more excuses: “it is too expensive”, “it takes too long to prepare healthy meals”, “I am too buy”, etc. These are limitations that we put there, and we can take them down and replace with new guidelines: “I will prepare several portions and save for the next few days”, “I can buy in bulk from the food buying club”, “I can go raw for a few days instead of eating quick junk food when I get really busy”.
I also am setting boundaries with how much I am wiling to give. It is difficult, because it feels like I do not care about the person, when in reality, I am caring for my self! Tricky! Thus is an important phase of my own self healing journey: setting healthy boundaries, and maintaining them.
Set Maat still striving for balance and peace with our Ego, our lower nature. We do not want to do away with our Ego, it DOES have a purpose. The goal is to be in control of this aspect of ourselves. Finding the balance between pleaseure and overindulgence for starters! Remember, after the battle with Heru, it is Set that is the one steering the Boat of Ra. The one that protects creation, whereas before, was “hell bent” on destruction.
Amun/PiCheus Sekhmet: good fortune in healing, both Self care and helping others. Expansion of consciousness is true healing.
Heru PiCot Sahu: the beginning of self expression, leadership, Rule your emotions, do not allow them to rule you. At HeruScopes, you are Heru, The Hero in your own myth. Face adversity with a smile, and win the battle over Set EVERYTIME! ASHE!
Chiron and Nebt Het in KuUrKu: Idealism, purification, healer, yet, have no attachment to outcome, practice Khak Ab: dispassionate detachment. Remember, KuUrKu can also mean wanting to save the whole world, yet not taking care of self or tending to immediate family or relatives. Sometimes, you must put yourself first, so that you can help others.

New Moon/New Year: Mid-Planetary Alignment!
All in all, I feel the most important thing to do right now is to EXPRESS GRATITUDE DAILY, and nurture all of the lovely things, situations, relationships, etc, that were birthed during the early stages of this alignment. The New Moon represents a pinnacle in this cycle, and the opportunity to firmly establish a solid foundation to what began as simply wisps or figments of imagination, in the past or distant past, and just showed up suddenly, unannounced. 🙄 😎 Time to follow through on any ideas that came up, and do whatever it takes to help them not only manifest and materialize, but also, to make sure they stay! Not just fade away when the alignment dissolves. Just like when you plant seeds, must water them daily. The alignment gave us a bag of seeds. The New Moon is when we plant them, water them and nurture. The Alignment dissolves on February 20, right around the time of the Full Moon on February 22. Today, let us affirm where we want our Garden of Life to be at the Full Moon, Imagine what we can accomplish with the remaining moments of this delightful planetary alignment. Then take the necessary steps to arrive there! WHATEVER IT TAKES!
