And for the Reggae fans, I am sure you must be wondering what caused this Spiritual Direction and Intense Focus of this Music! Well it was my personal musical healing journey. To be honest, there is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too much toxic masculinity and colonialism for me to continue as exclusively a Reggae Artist. Too much religious oppression and spiritual enslavement. Too. much Caucasity involved in the Reggae Music Industry. I needed to get more in touch with Divinity, with the Divine Feminine, and not be involved in a movement that required me to remain silent.
So, after decades of exploring other Indigenous Practices and Spiritual technologies, I landed in Ancient Kemet. These are the teachings that allowed me to literally CHANGE NY MIND. To transform myself into My Higher Self.
If you notice, all of my music has been about putting teachings of the Four Directions to Music. I stayed in Kemet for 12 years so far, Moree to come.
During the Ancient African Adorations sessions, we dive deep into the teachings offered for the Holy day, then towards the end, the Song Writing Enchantress appears, and creates new music on the spot, based on the Scriptures or reflections of the Teachings. Sometimes, the teachings and writings of Sebai Maa (Dr. Muata Ashby) & Seba Dja (Dr. Karen “Dja” Ashby) are presented. Sometimes, just the personal reflections of the Chantress and Overseer of AstMaataJi Temple of Divine Light Healing and Sweet Sounds, Arit Neter S Mery Maati, aka Tchiya Amet.
This Music is a reflection of my spiritual journey, and is being shared to enhance your own journey as well.
And, now it is time for …..MORE GREAT ORIGINAL REGGAE MUSIC!!! SPRINQUINOX 2022
The evolution and spiritual awakening of Tchiya Amet is reflected in her Music. The most recent development has been a spiritual reconnection to Kemet, the remembrance of Her Divinity and relationship with the Higher Self. This Music has become a vehicle to carry her and all who listen onwards, to Nehast, Enlightenment, the Great Spiritual Awakening. Hotep!
Be sure to mark your calendar for FEBRUARY 23, 2019 for a night of Live SPIRITUAL Music. A Night of LIVE Music that is Created to Raise Awareness, Raise Vibrations, Promote Wellness, and Lead Us All to Enlightenment. Original Organic Music.
The Evening begins with Ancient African Adorations, Devotional World Music from Kemet. Based on Scriptures and Teachings from the Pert M Heru (Book of Coming Forth By Day also known as Egyptian Book of the Dead) and the Temple of Aset. Arit uses mostly tradtitional or hand held instruments, along with chanting and singing. A few songs will be performed with her Band.
Celebrated artist and master drummer Sura Dupart leads an eclectic free ensemble focusing on healing and deepening our relationship with the Creator.
Sura (pronounced Soo-Rah) Dupart is one of Chicago’s most accomplished sculptors and has been performing musica for over 50 years. Dupart joined the AACM in mid 1960s and deepened his practice with Atu Harold Murray’s Sun Drummer. Since then, Dupart has studied drumming practices and traditions from Africa, the Diaspora, and the south side of Chicago. He currently performs with his SidePocket Experience as well as the Participatory Music Coalition. Joining him are the legendary Soji Adebayo on keys; the unstoppable Santez on t. sax and saxello; trumpeter Curtis Black; Dr. Adam Zanolini on double bass, flute, and s. sax; Tchiya Amet vocalist; and dancer Althea Teamer.
“Before Music was used for entertainment it was used as a primary source of healing and a sublime connection to the divine. My strongest desire is to continue to perfect my art as well as my music and to become more of a spiritual link to god.” – Sura Dupart

In 2017 The Honor Goes To Legendary High Symbol’s Band Leader/Bassi, Ludlow “Bingie” Lloyd Mckenzie.
Jamaica is commonly known as the Reggae Capital of the World and home to many great well known Reggae bands and even more great Reggae singers. Behind every great Reggae vocalist’s live show, there was always a great bandleader that helped bring their music to life.
“Bingie” has been bandleader for hundreds of these act over the past twenty years, unlike the stars he has played behind, many outside the Reggae arena have no knowledge of his achievements during that time.
In 1987 Mckenzie formed the band “FM Force Band” with Sanchez as lead singer, Sanchez left the band in 1988 to pursue a solo career. Afterward He decided to changed the name of the band to High Symbol Band with original members consisting of musicians: Ludlow “Bingie” Lloyd’ Mckenzie-(bandleader/bass), Bernard’ Powell-(drums), Elana Lewis-(guitar), Noel Davy-(keyboards),Garth Gray-(keyboards).
Current band member are Ludlow “Bingie” Lloyd Mckenzie (bandleader/bass player), Bernard Powell(Drummer), Philip Porter(Guitarist), Everton “Bubbler” Bryan(keyboardist1), Theodore Bernard(Keyboardist2) Duhaney ‘Singing Green’ Green(Led Singer) and Kenton Boyd(Engineer)
“Bingie” has toured extensively in the Caribbean, Mexico, where he is revered as an icon in Cancun, US, Central America, Europe and beyond.
Sure he was the bandleader for acts that performed before Nelson and Winnie Mandela in Kingston National Stadium, or at the Bob Marley Song Celebration in Australia and if you ever saw any of the acts listed below performing live, its a good chance “Bingie” was the bandleader.

Tchiya is a student of several languages, “I can order dinner and get around town in many places!”-she jokes. Many different languages are featured in songs on this CD. “Tchiya is often referred to as the Island’s Roberta Flack because of her soft vocal style, but with similarities to Sade and Esperanza Spalding, Sun Ra because of Tchiya’s fondness for unique instrumental arrangements, a mild Erykah Badu and of course Bob Marley because of her oneness messages, which are always featured in her song lyrics, her Jazzy Reggae Live shows are very enjoyable.” – says Marc Gordon Entertainment Editor, Waiting Room, USA Magazine.
The Best, as do other CD’s in the Timeless Classics collection, focuses on re-introducing artist’s earlier music to today’s music fans. We hope people enjoy, appreciate and feel inspired to add Tchiya’s, and other artist´s music that they find in this collection, to their play lists. Tchiya has released six Albums to her credit, including her Wellness CD collection.
This CD was inspired by the ever-growing enthusiasm for all types of Reggae and World Music performed by Women from around the world.
“It’s a new approach to locating music you may enjoy and are not aware of, or simply forgot about,” said HousTone Records A & R Manager, Joc Vann. “Music lovers have a variety of technology options on how they can find and enjoy music today, this CD allows audiences to explore those options, to connect or reconnect with artists and music they may choose to add to their play lists, just by searching for artists and songs from the Timeless Classics collection.”

About HousTone Records
One of the key elements in working with all artists at HousTone Records is the artist must agree to record two well-known cover songs per CD. This allows many up-and-coming artists to be judged by fans for the talent they have, based on music the listeners already know. From these selections, we choose songs that match the theme and release them to expose their music to the fans that want it.
