I am so grateful that the Idea popped into my mind about how to schedule these concerts. The “normal” method of time and space e, growing weaker each year, doing the same things at the same time of day, day of week, was well. slowly draining me.

Now that my life is centered around the Solar Sidereal calendar, the Sirius Sidereal calendar, the Lunar calendar, the Galactic Calendar, plus the Calendar of Neterian Holy Days, Life is really flowing for me more abundantly instead of time and chaos perpetually stopping me.

Al Minya has a site with an image of the Blind Harpist, so we absolutely had to go there. Because this is a Musical Initiatic Journey. I had never heard of this place before. My first visit was in 2018, then again in 2020.

We spent the entire day there both times, visiting many different sites and locations that were completely mind-blowing, everything happened so fast, I simply must return every time I am in Kemet…

Monuments And Ancient Sites In Al Minya

Al Minya is 246 km away from Cairo and is one of the most important governorates of Upper Egypt because of its unique location midway between northern and southern Egypt. In addition Al Minya has many historical sites and monuments that go back to different eras from the Pharaonic era to modern times.

Al Minya stretches for around 135 kilometers on both banks of the Nile at 18 kilometers wide from the east to the west. The size of the city is approximately 32,000km and its population is around 4 million.

Al Minya was the capital of Egypt in (1373 – 1390) BC when Ikhnaton and his beautiful queen, Nefertiti, lived there in the small village of Tel El Amarna in the Markez of Malawi, which was the center of the worship of the God Aten. This was the first time in Egyptian history when the Egyptians worshiped one god, changing the religion that encouraged worshiping many gods especially the famous god Amun. 

The bridge of Upper Egypt had an important role in other stages of the Egyptian history. During the Roman era, it was the center of the worship of the god Thut, the god of wisdom and knowledge…..

Akhenaten: Okht Aten or Tel Al Amarna, the capital of his kingdom.

There is a small museum for Akhenaten, and most of his abode is in ruins. When he changed the culture to One God, he lost the support of most of the Kingdom, and was unable to obtain limestone and other enduring materials for construction. So, he used the Sun and Clay. This is why most of his structures are in ruins….you can still feel the energy however….

Adam my guide told me that Queen Nefertiti and her mother-in-law Queen Tye, did not get along, living together was very unpleasant, An Nefer, and so Queen Nefertiti moved out of the palace, down the street. They eventually got a divorce! It is said that after the divorce, he married KIya and made her his beloved Wife, however, she was never known as the Royal Wife….

In Ancient Egypt the “Harper’s Song” (or Song of the Harper) is a poem which was inscribed in the tomb along with the image of a blind man playing a harp. It is thought that the harpist played and sang the song during the mortuary feats for the deceased.

Basically, the older songs discuss the struggles of living with the knowledge that death comes no matter how wonderful life is. And the newer songs (ie, after the Greek Invasions) discuss enjoying life to the fullest because no one escapes death anyway…

Now that I have started playing the harp, I would like to learn some of these songs, and of course, write a few of my own. When I was there in 2020, a lovely chant came through me as I sat in from of the Blind harpist: Mery Maati Mery Ra. You will hear it in one of the videos below. My experience at the site revealed to me that as the Blind harpist, I must remain Blind to the politics and chaos around me and remain in the stillness, blind to the ignorance and hypocrisy, and remain focused on creating beautiful music and sweet sounds that keep us in tune with the Divine, with Neberdjer, and lead us to Enlightenment.

The first time I visited El Minya, it was the first stop on a whirlwind tour. The second time, we began in Aswan and worked our way towards Cairo. By the time we got to the Blind Harpist ,for the very first time, I recall being in a state of shock/euphoria. I had no real understanding of where we were, or the significance. This is why I am going back every time….We had so much fun going from Temple to Temple. Next time, I will have my bearings, and, I will have a battery pack and extra data cards for all of the photos! AND, they will be labeled with names and locations….and, maybe you will join me?????

2021 Update: I made it back, with battery packs, however, I did not label my photos well, and lost almost half of them! LOL! I am planning another trip once it is safe to travel again.

Djehuty: Tuna Al Jebel

There were like 2000 roads underground, filled with tombs, mummies, in the catacombs. We saw actual baboon mummies, Ibis mummies. It was like an underground city. There were even street signs! A wonderful song for Djehuty came through while I was in the catacombs, standing near the tomb of a priest from ling ago….

In 2020, I had an amazing time meeting some of the children that were playing outside of these sacred sites. They were fascinated by my presence, and kept asking me my name! lOL! Then they were following our group. I am sorry to say that those were some of the photos and videos that went missing. Perhaps they will remember me when I return….

Funeral Houses: Tomb of Isadora

Isadora was a wealthy and beautiful young woman living in Hermopolis during the time when the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius (AD 138–161) ruled over Ægyptus. She fell in love with a young soldier from Antinopolis (current Sheikh ‘Ibada), and they wanted to get married. However, her father refused, so the young couple decided to elope. Unfortunately, Isadora drowned while crossing the Nile. Her body was mummified, and her father built an elaborate tomb for her, featuring a poem of 10 lines inscribed in Greek elegiac couplets. At some time after her death, a cult developed around her tomb. Isadora’s mummified remains are still present, encased in glass, in her mausoleum—a prominent building at Tuna el-Gebel.

Take a Day Trip!

Al Minya is considered a Day Trip from Cairo. I hope to spend more time at all of these sites again very soon. Because it is not on the usual, well-traveled Tourist Path, it is very different from the other places that I have been. I can still recall the joy at seeing the Blind Harpist for the first time, and the hospitality of the vendors and guards, that were surprised that we traveled so far out of the way to experience the wonders of Al Minya.

The April moon gets its somewhat confusing name from the plant that it brings the bloom of, the herb moss pink or phlox. The plant is said to bloom with some of the first flowers of the spring, and is mostly found in North America.

 Get deeper into your emotions, your true feelings, and allow this to be expressed thru your creativity. If it is sad, then don’t just cry, write about it. Write a poem, sing a song, make some pottery. Never waste your creative energy. If you are feeling angry, write about it, don’t just call your best friend and complain. Take Action! With Heru (Uranus) here as well, it is important to make sure that whatever action we take, it is an expression of the Divine, NOT the Ego! This is the time to conquer the Ego. This is the time to join the fight against the oppression that we all experience daily. This would be an excellent time to write that letter to the representative or that nasty corporation, or to your neighbor, the one you have been angry with for a few years! Better yet, how about talking to your neighbor?

We are here to express our Divinity. The beautiful thing (HetHeru/Venus) about this is that when we do, we bring about healing for ourselves and others. (Chiron!) If your first instinct is to say something, then your ego comes in and tells you to be quiet, perhaps there is a more loving way to say it, BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOU EXPRESS YOUR SELF. Invoke the Heru in you and be courageous, eliminate fear, and move ahead. Do not just sit there and complain. Take Maat Action Today.  Remember the Beauty Path: there is beauty in everything. Remember Maat: Maat is not Justice alone, She is also the lack of Justice. Maat is the BALANCE between the two. There is prosperity and adversity, good and bad in every moment, in everything! It is wise to be able to recognize BOTH! This is the Beauty Path of HetHeru. And, the Scale of Maat. It takes real courage to be honest with our emotions. As for me, I am going to take the time to write a few songs about an issue that I have not really addressed in 30+ years as a reggae artist. stay tuned. I am going to conquer my fears and express my self and my feelings. By the Light of the Full Moon. I attended a conference over the weekend, and my consciousness must expand in order to absorb all that was learned.

At HeruScopes, we focus on conquering the Ego, on not letting it get the best of us, etc. Tammet Amon or Sidereal Aries, is about leadership.  Once Set has conquered his own battle of “good over evil” he became the leader of the ship of Ra. This is how it is with us as well, once we move beyond the fetters of Set: egoism, selfishness, doubts, fear, greed, hypocrisy, envy, etc, we become the true leader. We can take control of our lives. Djehuty, or the Intellect, reason, teachings, etc, is an excellent tool for conquering the ego. during this time, when the Portal of Djehuty is open (more on this next), we should take the opportunity to read, learn, ask questions, investigate and study as much as possible, the details and the subjects that will lead the way to our greatest expansion towards THE LIFE OF OUR DREAMS.

Take advantage of this moment to crystallize our intent, our vision, what we want to manifest. Not only wondering about how are we going to pay our bills this week, but take the time to increase meditation and include visualization. It is one thing to reach that pleasurable satisfying, peaceful state when your mind is as empty as the ocean of unindifferentiated consciousness of Amun. It is another thing to use that state to create the life you love to look at.  Tammet Amon. Sidereal Aries. Use your mind to create, not just daydream, or be cluttered by egoistical thinking or even worse, mindless thinking!

Now what about these Portal Openings of HetHeru and Djehuty? At the SAME MOMENT?

Well, when the HetHeru Portal was open, many relationships were rocked, some ended, some were made even stronger. (This was my personal experience, how about you?) For the next few days, until Venus goes direct on April 15, be on the lookout for miscommunications that have way too  much power. It will be important to express your authentic self now more than ever. However during this time, the lesson will be about learning how to do so with love, compassion and beauty. We only have a few days, so it could get intense. main thing, is not take any of this persona;.
We are all enrolled in the School of Life: some in pre-K, and some at the PhD Level. LIFE is the only teacher, we are all classmates! If you used to be the type of person that would be thinking one thing and saying another, cuz you didn’t want to make waves or cause conflict, you can imagine what YOUR lessons will be like! LOL!! And, if you are the type of person that just blurts out truths, oh yea, this will be fun. I used to be afraid to say anything, but then explode later on. Or, I would say EXACTLY how I felt, which was usually accompanied by much anger and frustration. This got me nowhere fast! I wonder what this journey will bring????

The main thing to recall is that when these portals are open, do not run and hide from the experience. Just be aware of what is going on, and remain  unattached, do not take things personally. The goal is to learn how to remain seated on inner throne of Aset, at all times, especially during times of adversity. Remember the beauty path, and wait to see the Gift that the adversity will bring.  Remember to plant seeds of good intentions for your upcoming expansion, and make sure that some of them are PINK to remind you always of this very special moment of opening and growth in your life. Dua Ra, Djehuty, Sesheta and NebtHet KuUrKu (Sun, Mercury, New Moon and Neptune in Sidereal Aquarius)
KuUrKu represents the Cosmic Force of pouring forth wisdom and abundance, from one vessel to the next, with one foot on the earth and one foot in the water. Although an air sign (mental), it is also a sign associated with water (sharing knowledge and abundance; emotions, feelings too). Djehuty and Sesheta are also cosmic forces of wisdom and knowledge. At this time, we have the opportunity to build our personality and character into one that shares wisdom and knowledge with ease, freely, using our creative forces (Ra)  to benefit Humanity, or what is known as the Brotherhood of Man. Letz say the Universal or UniverSOUL Family. KuUrKu has the tendency to care so much about the Universal Family, or the greater good, as in activism, but has very little time or concern for own personal family. Very good at teaching, or lecturing, or even performing, yet very difficult to express true feelings. With Djehuty in this constellation along with Sesheta, during the Ring Of Fire Eclipse, we have the opportunity to dig deeply and share our true feelings openly. This not only helps us to expand and go, it also benefits the ones that listen to our expression. Now is the time to change our ways and really begin the process of expressing our emotions. As we are in the Age of Aquarius by some calculations, the entire planet also has this tendency of getting along well with say our co-workers, yet estranged from our own family members. Unless of course, you work with your family members. Then assassins may be hired….true story! Or politically speaking, spending billions of dollars on war in other countries, yet cannot afford to provide every citizen with healthcare or music classes for school children. Perhaps now is the time for us to shift the frequency of the planet. Using our mind power, harnessing the Cosmic and Ancestral Forces, and towards living with with Maat.

Which brings us to NebtHet, Neptune. NebtHet wears a headdress that is in one hand, and inverted Throne, and on the other hand, is a Vessel. NebtHet represents the Spirit incarnate into the Physical. The Light Being trapped in a watery encasement. NebtHet is the Lady of the House, twin sister to Aset, the Lady of Heaven  (Aset wears a Throne headdress!). Neptune/NebtHet also have a watery aspect, as in Greek tradition, Neptune is the god of the Sea. 

Revisiting the aspect of abundance, let us use this time to open up to receive the abundance that is always present. Perhaps this can be a time of emptying out our Vessel to make room for more abundance. The water in our vessel has become stagnant and we must let go of something to make room for new abundance to flow. This is the vibration that I am receiving from NebtHet at this very moment. The Lady of the House is saying it is time to get rid of old emotions (ENERGY IN MOTION) that no longer serve us. Time to reframe some things that have happened for us over the years, see them in a new light, and keep things moving.  ASHE! Letting go of sentimental attachments….that block our flow of abundance.

In the slide for Ra, we see that Ra created Humans with his tears. Perhaps by expressing our true feelings, even our tears, we can create something that will be beneficial to our Human Family. Instead of always trying to be so positive, which is often a fake attitude, LETZ BE REAL. EXPRESS YOURSELF.   Tears of joy, tears of sadness.

Chiron has finally moved into Sidereal Pisces. This is an exceptional time for healing our emotions, as Chiron is the Wounded Healer and Pisces is very emotional, and watery! Travel will bring Rejuvenation, regeneration, Renewal, Rebirth, etc. That family road trip you have planned will be just what you need, for healing that is. However, expect emotions to be heightened. Remain aware, through this healing journey/process, and you will gain much self knowledge and wisdom. Sagittarius also carries Asarian Energies. Now that Saturn has broken free of limitations in healing (Imhotep/Ophiuchus) it is time to move and expand on what was gained, in PiMAere. 

The constellation of Sagittarius looks like a giant teapot. When you are looking at PiMaere, you are looking towards the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Pouring Wisdom Tea into the Milky Way…..again, the theme of pouring and sharing wisdom.

PiCheus Aspolia (Jupiter in Sidereal Virgo). Jupiter is very comfortable here, planting seeds of intention in the garden of wisdom and expansion of consciousness. The activities that you are involved with during this time are laying the foundation for something greater that will bear fruit in due season. Jupiter is also connected with Amun, THE WITNESSING CONSCIOUSNESS. Always expanding, always present…..

I recently discovered the 70’s on youtube and several internet radio stations. The tears have been flowing for sure. Lots of emotions that I had forgotten about. I never realized how much those songs have influenced me and my own music.  Back then, African history and culture, Native American Traditions, cosmic consciousness, I didn’t know these things existed. Back then, it was Motown, and the 70’s rock/pop scene. That was all I knew about! Certainly not Reggae! LOL!! I have a feeling that my next collection of songs will be about my own feelings. So far, the focus has been on sharing teachings or songs of love and devotion for the Divine. The typical Aquarius syndrome…

The Comet from the Full Moon Eclipse  was so intense that I had a headache for 4 weeks until I made the decision to improve my relationship with the Earth and make the desion to move to be with my loved ones and place myself in a better position to share my music and healing gifts with the community. The Portal has been opened for  over 2 days now, and I have yet to have any technical disasters or miscommunications. In fact, just the opposite is happening, and I feel great! Looking forward to what is ahead. Jupiter also goes retrograde this week, read in the section below. Instead of obstacles, or blockages, I am feeling the flow, and it is increasing. Thisis a opportunity for transformation and growth, not fear and isolation. I will not plan to make any major  decisions during this time, however, when the opportunity presents itself, I will “GRAB THE BULL BY ITS HORNS!”

Portal Of Djehuty Opening January 5-25, 2016

Remember, do not take anything personally. Do not be so hard on yourself, or overly critical and judgmental.  Leave that to Maat!

From my experience, when I dive right into the opening, and welcome the changes, challenges and obstacles, seeing the gift in the adversity, these phases are a joy to experience. Now that I look forward to the openings instead of dreading the breakdowns, life is more pleasant during these times! LOL!!

My computers broke down weeks before Mercury Retrograde! I will be traveling and teaching during this opening, and this will represent the next phase of my vision for the  rest of my life, manifesting. The first step to living out my dream, is actually starting DURING a mercury retrograde. I am confident that I will handle any tech issues with grace and gratitude.

I have not gotten to the point where I plan my yearly activities around this event. But, it might be fun to try! This just sort of happened: I will be teaching KemeTones Level 1 Certification and Retreat in Jamaica! Starting with the New Moon on January 10 through January 17.

The opening and first official act of 2016 is to have both fast-talking Mercury and lucky Jupiter go retrograde in the same week. Considering Mercury is the planet that symbolically supervises everything that gets us from point A to B, like communication, commerce, and travel, his rascally ways affect us all. And that’s usually the problem with Mercury retrogrades. We put so much stock in moving our money, our thoughts, or ourselves from point A to B that we don’t appreciate the moment. We also want all our mercurial things to work regularly without understanding that Mercury is undergoing a renewal at his retrograde.

Mercury’s move backward happens because the planet has actually finished its year: It’s only 88 days long. This is why we usually have three Mercury retrogrades each year. (He loses 21 of our days during each retrograde.) In other words, Mercury, at his new year, doesn’t care about your briny tears because things don’t go exactly as you plan. Yes, back up your hard drives, double-check your appointments, and ask for clarification when in doubt about what you’re hearing or reading. However, be creative and connect with the meaning behind what’s happening.

Jupiter’s longer retrograde (until May 9) will help with that. Jupiter is more than the lucky planet. He supplies the enthusiasm, gusto, and broad-minded thinking for why we seek to get from one place to another. With Jupiter on pullback, it’s time to contemplate how we’re growing or not growing in our relationships, personal development, and careers.
