Yes Fall Equinox was last night 9/22/22  at 8:05pm ct. the dates & times change every year, however always falls somewhere between the 19th & the 24th. Lasting 3 days, the day & time you see always refers to the Middle Day.

What IS the Equinox? According to dictionary.com: “the time or date (twice each year) at which the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day & night are of approximately equal length (about September 22 & March 20)”

Cosmically, this is a time of Coming into Alignment  with Truth. Time to discern what is Real from the Unreal. Letting Go of the Painful Past & Making A Way for the Joy that is to come & appreciating the Joy that has always been there, hidden by trauma & fear..

Our Solar System Aligns with the 4 Cardinal Points of the Milky Way Galaxy. During these periods of Great Alignment, if we resist letting go, it will be TAKEN! Trust  me! Solstices & Equinoxes are no joke: this is beyond personality (Lunar) or Ego (Solar). This is a Cosmic Alignment on a Galactic Scale. Cosmic Housecleaning! Cosmic Order.

The Mayan Count is a Galactic Frequency. But is NOT a calendar, even tho people call it a calendar. The Tree of Life is what the Maya/The Olmec call the Milky Way Galaxy. The Kemetic Teachings also refer to the Milky Way Galaxy as the Tree of Life.

Anyways, I digress. The Milky Way Galaxy is one of my favorite topics. It was the topic of my research project while in Grad School, & I’ve recorded several songs in honor of the Milky Way. I will post them again soon.

In the meantime, we are headed over to LAX Energy Worx for the Mid-Summer SIRIUS RISING Reggae Music Experience. We open the set with Kemetic Dub music: dub music with spontaneous and live improv Kemetic Chants. The concerts are live and live-streamed. This event will feature songs about the Milky Way and the star Sirius, which begins to rise with the Kemetic new year, July 21 and lasts until August 12 or so. REGGAE MUSIC REBORN IN 2022

And for the Reggae fans, I am sure you must be wondering what caused this Spiritual Direction and Intense Focus of this Music! Well it was my personal musical healing journey. To be honest, there is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too much toxic masculinity and colonialism for me to continue as exclusively a Reggae Artist. Too much religious oppression and spiritual enslavement. Too. much Caucasity involved in the Reggae Music Industry. I needed to get more in touch with Divinity, with the Divine Feminine, and not be involved in a movement that required me to remain silent.

So, after decades of exploring other Indigenous Practices and Spiritual technologies, I landed in Ancient Kemet. These are the teachings that allowed me to literally CHANGE NY MIND. To transform myself into My Higher Self.

If you notice, all of my music has been about putting teachings of the Four Directions to Music. I stayed in Kemet for 12 years so far, Moree to come.

During the Ancient African Adorations sessions, we dive deep into the teachings offered for the Holy day, then towards the end, the Song Writing Enchantress appears, and creates new music on the spot, based on the Scriptures or reflections of the Teachings. Sometimes, the teachings and writings of Sebai Maa (Dr. Muata Ashby) & Seba Dja (Dr. Karen “Dja” Ashby) are presented. Sometimes, just the personal reflections of the Chantress and Overseer of AstMaataJi Temple of Divine Light Healing and Sweet Sounds, Arit Neter S Mery Maati, aka Tchiya Amet.

This Music is a reflection of my spiritual journey, and is being shared to enhance your own journey as well.

Be sure to mark your calendar for FEBRUARY 23, 2019 for a night of Live SPIRITUAL Music. A Night of LIVE Music that is Created to Raise Awareness, Raise Vibrations, Promote Wellness, and Lead Us All to Enlightenment. Original Organic Music.

The Evening begins with Ancient African Adorations, Devotional World Music from Kemet. Based on Scriptures and Teachings from the Pert M Heru (Book of Coming Forth By Day also known as Egyptian Book of the Dead) and the Temple of Aset. Arit uses mostly tradtitional or hand held instruments, along with chanting and singing. A few songs will be performed with her Band.

Set 2 will feature Cosmic Jazz Improv with SuRa and the Side Pocket Experience.

Celebrated artist and master drummer Sura Dupart leads an eclectic free ensemble focusing on healing and deepening our relationship with the Creator.

Sura (pronounced Soo-Rah) Dupart is one of Chicago’s most accomplished sculptors and has been performing musica for over 50 years. Dupart joined the AACM in mid 1960s and deepened his practice with Atu Harold Murray’s Sun Drummer. Since then, Dupart has studied drumming practices and traditions from Africa, the Diaspora, and the south side of Chicago. He currently performs with his SidePocket Experience as well as the Participatory Music Coalition. Joining him are the legendary Soji Adebayo on keys; the unstoppable Santez on t. sax and saxello; trumpeter Curtis Black; Dr. Adam Zanolini on double bass, flute, and s. sax; Tchiya Amet vocalist; and dancer Althea Teamer.

Tchiya Amet aka Arit moved back to Chicago almost one year ago. This will her first Musical event in Chicago since making that move. At the Summer Solstice, Tchiya Amet Band traveled to Standing Rock for a Summer Solstice festival. In August, she began playing with SuRa and the Side Pocket Experience.  Tchiya has performed her Reggae Music in Chicago a few times in the past, and this will be the first time presenting Ancient African Adorations in her Hometown.
