well, re-initiated. I ran out of lemons….

I drank a cup several hours ago, and I still have that lemony feeling.

will have to do some research as to how an acidic fruit can raise the alkaline levels in my body….several people on facebook are interested in this as well…

Today is May 4, and my report is that I feel more hydrated. I drink a lot of coconut water too. However, on cold mornings, I really look forward to the hot water and lemon. It is really too soon to tell what results I have been getting. The best thing I have gained so far is consistency. In fact, time for another cup right now!

But what exactly are electrolytes?

Electrolytes are the minerals that make up the composition of your blood and other bodily fluids that possess an electric charge.

They’re responsible for regulating your body’s hydration levels, your blood’s pH levels, keeping your blood pressure healthy, rebuilding damaged tissue, and maintaining nerve and muscle functions at optimal levels.

There are a ton of these minerals, but chief among them are sodium, potassium, calcium, hydrogen carbonate, hydrogen phosphate, and magnesium chloride. Without these, your body could not function properly; much less survive.

When over diluted with excessive amount of water (aka as water poisoning) your body’s muscles become weak. At the other extreme, which is exceeding recommended doses of electrolytes, you’ll notice how your muscles have a tendency to over contract.

 

 

I think I was actually overhydrated once during an Ayahuasca retreat…that is a blog of a different day! I have been looking over the symptoms and conditions that this is good for, and at the moment, I am not experiencing any of these issues. I am doing this for prevention. I AM THANKFUL FOR THIS FACT!!!!

 

Some sources say drink warm water, some say hot water, and some say room temperature. One thing for sure is to not drink it cold water, as this causes a shock to the system, so Iced Cold Lemonade with 3 tablespoons of sugar does not count!

Supposedly, science does not support this fact. they say, “Under no circumstances can an acidic food alkalize your blood, said Kat Day, a chemist and science blogger in Oxfordshire, England. Because foods are not known to alter the pH of your blood or body, lemons won’t acidify you either.”

IF I BELIEVED ALL THE CRAP SCIENTISTS TELL US,
I MIGHT STILL BE EATING DEAD ANIMALS AND DRINKING FLUIDS FROM THEIR MAMMARY GLANDS THAT ARE MEANT FOR THEIR BABIES
.. I MIGHT BE GETTING VACCINATED, OR HEAVEN FORBID, MAMMOGRAMS THAT CAUSE BREAST CANCER.

 

As I am not experiencing any health issues at the moment, I will focus on this aspect for the time being. I may not see the benefits for another 25 years….
