Spring Cleaning

Good Rising!

Spring is in the Air. Here at KemeTones©, that means it is time for SPRING CLEANING!!!

A thorough cleaning involves every area of your life: your space, your mind, your chakras, your body, your womb, your garden, even relationships. It is all about removing blocks and toxins, unwanted accumulation of energy. so that new things can grow. Eliminating things that no longer serve you.

Here are a few of my favorite Spring Cleaning activities:

Fasting and/or Liver Flush.

I prefer to do 5 days cleanses, with maybe one or two days of fasting with only water or only fresh juice. I used to do longer fasts, but as I have been a vegan for like 30 years now, 5 days is just perfect! I like to start 5 days before the New Moon, thereby starting a new cycle fresh. I tend to do this before every season change, like right before the Equinox is perfect.

This is the time for great Liver Flushes as well. The dandelions are just crying out to us to partake of their seasonal medicine: dandelion roots or leaves are an excellent addition to your spring detox program.

Herbs for Liver Detox: GET ORGANIC!!! or harvest your own medicine from around your environment.

  • Dandelion
  • Milk Thistle
  • Astragalus
  • Cascara Sagrada bark
  • Turmeric
  • Yellow Dock Root

“In Chinese medicine, spring is associated with the Wood element and the Liver organ (capitalized because there is more to it than just the actual organ; each organ is linked to a color, taste, emotion, and various other characteristics). A healthy Liver is like a young tree sapling, strong yet flexible, with solidly rooted and smoothly flowing energy. When the Liver is aggravated, its naturally smooth and harmonious movement becomes congested, leading to, for example, tension, stiffness, headaches, anger, frustration, irritability, and depression.”

“When the liver releases toxins, we can feel irritable as the toxins try to make their way out of our bodies. Twisting yoga poses help our bodies cleanse by creating heat and releasing the liver. Yoga teacher Erich Schiffman writes that twists “wring out your body and thereby assist in releasing enormous amounts of tension. When you then release the twisting, wringing-out action, and the musculature relaxes again, that area becomes flooded with nutrients. This is both deeply cleansing and deeply nourishing.”

Some of the signs that your liver may be struggling are:

    • A slow digestive system
    • Inability to digest fats
    • Overweight
    • Slow or sluggish metabolism
    • Irritable bowel
    • Abdominal bloating
    • Food and chemical intolerance
    • Feeling moody, depressed
    • Foggy head
    • Fatigue
    • Frequent headaches
    • Unstable blood sugar levels and sugar cravings
    • Coated tongue and bad breath
    • Immune system problems
    • Dark circles under the eyes
    • Premenstrualtension

During this time, at least in the Norhern hemisphere, it is important to keep eating some warm foods, and also, to start increasing one’s intake of FRESH LIVE GREEN foods. As the warm weather increases, we naturally start to eat more and more fresh raw fruits and vegetables. Of course, if you are in the Southern Hemisphere, the reverse is true!

SPRING INTO BALANCE WITH KemeTones©: COSMIC SOUND HEALING

Some chants that will be helpful at this time:

Om Maati Maakheru: The One Divine Self manifesting as the dual goddess of the Truth of Above and below, heaven and Earth, (Aset and Nebt Het) Assist me in obtaining Spiritual Enlightenment.

Nebt Het is known as the Lady of the House. She is associated with the Material or Physical realm. She is sister to Aset, the Lady of Heaven. She is the goddess that maintains the Order of Maat. Maat is the Cosmic Force of balance, Truth, Order, Harmony, Justice, Reciprocity, and Righteousness.

Here is one of my favorite tunes about Purification:
THE GREAT PURIFICATION OF ALL THINGS BASED ON HOPI TEACHINGS ABOUT THESE DAYS AND TIMES

“Order in my Day, Order in My Life,
Order in My Life, Order in My Space,
Order in My Space, Order in my Mind,
Order in My Mind, Order in My Day,
Order in my Day, Order in my Life….”

Now is the time to clear out our minds of negative self talk and doubt, and develop new ways of thinking, and even new thoughts. Now is the time to purify our spirit, and let go of any hurts or resentment that we have been holding onto for a long time, to liberate our mind & hearts, so our spirit can soar free. So our hearts can be as light as the feather of Maat, everyday!

With your Spring Cleaning Tune Up, we will concentrate on removing blockages to the flow of energy especially along the Liver meridian.

Schedule your next session with KemeTones: Cosmic Sound Healing. or purchase the Self Care Kit, and work on the liver points.
