Sign of Ip, Sidereal Scorpio is only one week long. The New Moon in Ip is only a few HOURS long: from apprx 2 am until 10:05 am, with the moment of the New Moon at 4:19 am pst

This is a window of opportunity to make our desire, intentions, hopes and wishes known to the Goddess, to the Divine.
Dua Sesheta Ip: building a strong personality and character by purifying our desires, re-adjustment, re-alignment of our intentions. Only acting upon our highest purest desires, those that are in alignment with our purpose. Remember, Desire is Love + Hate: Love means moving towards what we like, and hate means moving away from what we do not like. Unconditional Love means loving without liking or disliking! It is NOT Desire.

Do not allow our Ego’s desires to rule us. Our Ego wants us to be safe, to play small, to avoid risks or anything that might lead to danger. The Negative aspects of the Ego can also be selfish, greedy, dishonest, etc, or Set. We must only act on our pure desires, not our fears or our lower nature. Take action from a place of integrity, authenticity, courage, not from fears. The Moon is about the Personality, creating a Strong Character. Dua Sesheta. This is the time to let go of fears, and open up to what is in our hearts.

Whatever we are focused on during this brief opening is what will manifest. If it is fear, our fear will manifest. If it is our vision for PEACEFUL VICTORY AND RESOLUTION AT STANDING ROCK, so shall it be. Remain on the Beauty Path of HetHeru, seeing the Beauty in ALL things, in all experiences, and Live with the Balance of Maat. Remember there is a Gift in EVERY Adversity.

In addition to focusing on purifying desires and our highest intentions, we have a few more days to create or manifest our desires. DUA RA IP. Or at least setting up the right environment for the manifestation. Remember, even though we normally feel the effects of a new moon for an entire month or lunar cycle, during IP, IT ONLY LASTS ABOUT 7 DAYS. Ra moves into Imhotep around 4 pm on Nov. 29.

Dua HetHeru Dua Asar PiMaere (Venus and Pluto in Sidereal Sagittarius) signifies a time for wisdom, transformation, expansion, travel, and seeing the beauty in this. I used to feel overwhelmed a lot, and now, I see it as a period of expansion. This can also seem chaotic, that you are out of control, just keep in  mind that your life is expanding, your consciousness is expanding, and that you are in moment of intense change. As you ascend, and more of the illusion fades away, it can feel like you are in free fall. Just remember that you are a light being, that your existence is beyond what you see in the material realm. And, that it is a beautiful journey, no matter how many times you fall. No matter how things may appear, your life is in the hands of the Goddess, and is in Divine Right Order. In Fact, The Journey IS the Destination!

Our Ego has been purified and tamed, and now sits at the front of the boat, directing our journey, with guidance and protection. I also connect with Muruga, who symbolizes our ability to manifest with our first eye and pineal gland. Visualize the vel or a spear, projecting from our first eye, either destroying obstacles and illusions, or as the projection of our visions into reality and manifestation.

Saturn leaves Sidereal Ophiuchus in Feb 2017. Until then we will continue to break boundaries in healing. This also is related to the crazy economy. STANDING ROCK. Djehuty in Imhotep signifies a time for wisdom and communications about natural health and alternative healing. Combined with the energy of RePhan, which deals with obstacles, boundaries, limitations, etc, now is the time for clearing/healing the throat chakra issues in particular, eliminating anything that blocks us, or limits our ability to communicate. I can even see how this will enhance the situation at Standing Rock, because being able to speak is one this, BEING HEARD IS ANOTHER! Let us all have the intention that the People at Standing Rock will be heard, and that this communication will improve the healing of the planet, and will protect the Water and the water Protectors.

Mercury also deals with mobility, movement. motion. May all of our travels bring about healing and elimination of blocks and obstacles.

PiCheus finally moved into Aspolia: this is the moment for planting seeds of intention for travel and education, for  expansion. Planting Seeds to Increase Connecting with the Witnessing Consciousness, the Amun Consciousness. Learning how to control emotions, how to rule and govern the energy in motion.

Overall, I would say that this New Moon, although short, carries great power, much like the Mustard Seed. Purify your desires, give your attention only to the Highest Intentions. Place your focus on Travel; and Expansion that brings about positive changes and healing in our relationships and our families. Especially improving our relationship with the Earth. Keep watchful eye on emotions, lest they steer you in a direction that is not in your best interests. Remember the Balance that you experienced during the Month of Maat. Use your first eye as a tool for projecting your vision into manifestation. Continue to break all boundaries and limitations in expressing and achieiving natural health and abundance. #STANDINGWITHSTANDINGROCK.

Day of Absence: BOYCOTT BLACK FRIDAY EVERYDAY!!!

 

Back when I was a young innocent, and ignorant young woman, college student at Oberlin, I had the opportunity to see the live performance of this Play. Now you can see the play in its entirety on youtube!

 

Day of Absence

The time is now. Play opens in unnamed Southern town of medium
population on a somnolent cracker morning — meaning no matter the early
temperature, it’s gonna get hot. The hamlet
is just beginning to rouse itself from
the sleepy lassitude of night.
Winner of the coveted Vernon Rice and Obie Awards. Coupled with HAPPY ENDING in its successful Off-Broadway production, this clever and enormously amusing satire is described by the author as “A Reverse Minstrel Show. “Here the all-black cast, made up in white face, recount the uproarious emergencies which occur when a Southern town is faced with the sudden and inexplicable disappearance of all its black citizens. “Laughter can be as effective as anger in telling white America what [Douglas Turner Ward] has on his mind.” —NY Times. “…a gust of fresh air among racial plays.” —Life Magazine.
THE STORY: DAY OF ABSENCE. A satire about an imaginary Southern town where all the black people have suddenly disappeared The only ones left are sick and lying in hospital beds, refusing to get well. Infants are crying because they are being tended to by strange parents. The Mayor pleads for the President, Governor, and the NAACP to send him “a jackpot of jigaboos.” On a nationwide radio network he calls on the blacks, wherever they are, to come back. He shows them the cloths with which they wash cars and the brushes with which they shine shoes as sentimental reminders of the goodies that await them. In the end the blacks begin to reappear, as mysteriously as they had vanished, and the white community, sobered by what has transpired, breathes a sigh of relief at the return of the rather uneasy status quo. What will happen next is left unsaid, but the suggestion is strong that things will never quite be the same again.

I want to suggest that we do the same thing with our dollars. When I was at Oberlin College, they were going to discontinue the Black Studies Program. I had the idea that if we jammed the computer system at the Library, they will reverse this action. So, we sent students to all of the library branches, and were each instructed to check out 20 books, then immediately return them . We crashed the system!  Later that evening, we held a candlelight vigil around the President’s Home. The next day, someone had made an anonymous donation to keep the position open. 

It worked once, it can work again!

It is a well known fact that back in the day, WE were the currency, the collateral, the stock. WE are the reason for Wall Street, where the slaves were being auctioned off, THEY BUILT A WALL so that the citizens did not have to see it.

As recently as 2004, director Sergio Arau gave us “A Day without a Mexican.” It has almost an identical premise (without attributing any credit to Ward), except this film is about modern day Mexican residents of California, instead of black people in the south.

TRANSCRIPT OF THIS SPEECH

“There is no future for a people who deny their past. My Foreparents, My Grandparents, My Mother, My Father did not suffer and die to give me an education to slight, oppress or discourage my people. Whatsoever education I acquired out of their sacrifice of over 300 years, I shall use for the salvation of the 400 million Black people of the world. And the DAY when I forsake my people; may GOD Almighty say, “there shall be no more life for you”.

I unequivocally rejected the racist assumption of much white American Christianity. Namely that God had created the black man inferior. And that he intended Negroes to be a Servant class, heavers of wood and drawers of water. Well I predicated my view of man on the doctrine of E Margo de E “all men regardless of color are created in the image of GOD”. From this premise come the equality of all men and brotherhood of all men. The Biblical injunction of Acts 17:26 reminds us that He created of one blood all nations of men to dwell on the face of the earth and is most interested in brotherhood than with ones own race. Because if Negroes are created in God’s image, and Negroes are Black then God must IN SOME SENSE be Black.

If the White man has the Idea of a white God let him worship his God as he desires. We have found a new ideal. Because God has No color, and yet it is HUMAN to see everything through ones own spectacles, and since the white people have seen their god thru their white spectacles, we have only now started to see our God thru our own Spectacles.

But we believe in the God of Ethiopia, the everlasting God; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy One, the one God of all the Ages; that is the God of whom we believe but we shall worship HIM thru the spectacles of Ethiopia.

For two hundred and fifty years we have struggled under the burden and rigors of slavery. We were maimed, we were brutalized, we were ravaged in every way. We are men, we have hopes, we have passions, we have feelings, we have desires just like any other race. The cry of race all over the world, of Canada for the Canadians, of America for the Americans, Of England for the English, of France for the French or Germany for the Germans; do they think it unreasonable that we the Blacks of the world should raise our cry Africa for the Africans?

The Negro is a MAN; we represent the New Negro. His back is not yet against the wall, we do not want his back against the wall because that would be a peculiar and desperate position. We do not want him there. It is because of this we are asking for a fair compromise. Well the Belgians have control over the Belgian Congo, which they cannot use. They have not the resources to develop, nor the intelligence. The French have more territory than they can develop, there’s certain parts of Africa in which they cannot live at all. So it is for YOU to come together and give us a United States of Africa. We are not going to be a race without a country. God never intended it and we are not going to disappoint God’s confidence in us as Men. We are Men, human beings, capable of the same acts as any other race. Possessing under fair circumstances the same INTELLIGENCE as any other race. Now Africa’s been sleeping. Not dead, only sleeping. Today Africa is walking around not only on our feet but on our brains. You can enslave us for some 300 years, the bodies of men, you can shackle the hands of men, you can shackle the feet of men, you can imprison the bodies of men, BUT YOU CANNOT SHACKLE OR IMPRISON THE MINDS OF MEN.

Rise up Black Men, and take your stand. Reach up black men and women and pull all nature’s knowledge to you. Turn ye around and make a conquest of everything North and South, East and West. And then we you have wrought well, you will have merited God’s blessing, you will become God’s chosen people and naturally you’ll become leaders of the world. And as you bow down to the white man today, so will others bow down to you and call you a race of masters because of the intelligence of your mind and your achievements. No race has the last word on culture and civilization. They do not know what we’re capable of; they do not know what we’re thinking. They’re thinking in terms of dreadnaughts, battleships, airplanes and submarines. You know what we’re thinking about? That is our own private business.

So give us credit for being able to use our minds. And once people are in concept of themselves; determined to use their minds you do not know to what extent they can go. Liberate the minds of men and ultimately you will liberate the bodies of men.”

 

Some of you may recall the 2 special events that we put on in Austin, TX in 1993 and 1994: THE MARCUS MOSIAH GARVEY APPRECIATION DAYS. Those were indeed truly magical and mystical times…

I was given permission by the grandson of Marcus Mosiah Garvey, COLIN GAREY,  to put the teachings of Marcus Garvey to music. This is the second song in the collection, the first one is “Foundation of Love” on the Black Turtle Island CD.

There is no more need for Black people to freely continue a practice that smacks so much of slavery.
